Hello,
My name is Johanne Desjardins
I have a small family kennel
in St Jean-Baptiste Québec,
a small town situated between Mont St-Hilaire and Mont Rougemont.
I gained most of my experience working as a veterinarian technician where I acquired knowledge related dog like grooming, obedience, behaviour, herding, agility and freestyle.
My first encounter with an Australian Shepherd occurred while working in a veterinarian hospital. I then met a wonderful blue merle little female which charmed me because I noticed so much softness, brightness and confidence when I looked into her eyes. Unfortunately, she had ingested rat poison. It was an encounter that would change my life for ever, the start of my profound devotion and love for the breed. In 1993, I acquired my first female named Heartsdesires Safari Derby.
Derby spent a good number of years following me at work where she conquered many hearths. She was my devoted companion through good and bad days. She passed away at 15 and a half having bred many champions , whether in breed, obedience and agility.
